Parade Honors Cass Tech State Champion Football Team

DETROIT (WWJ) – Cass Tech High School’s Division One state champion football team was honored with a parade down Woodard Avenue in Detroit on Monday.

Nearly half of the student body took part in the parade.

“We want to say how proud we are of you,” said an enthusiastic Principal Lisa Phillips.

The Cass Tech football team beat Detroit Catholic Central and became the first Detroit Public School to win a state championship in football.
