Boyne Mountain Open For Business

BOYNE FALLS (WWJ) - Attention Southeast Michigan snow bunnies: the slopes at Boyne Mountain are open.

Resort goers will find numerous renovations at the popular Michigan winter hang-out -- including two new PistenBully groomers, 20 new Boyne Low-E snow guns and new cutting edge skis available for rent.

Erin Ernst, director of communications for the resort, told WWJ Newsradio 950 the opening of Boyne Mountain is also good news for non-skiers looking for winter fun.

"Even if you're not a skier, there's a lot of different activities to do between our zip line adventures, and snowshoeing and dog sled adventures and all kinds of things," Ernst said.

Current lift hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Lift ticket prices Wednesday and Thursday at Boyne Highlands, and Friday at Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain are $25 for all ages.  Beginning Saturday, December 10 through Thursday, December 15, lift tickets range from $28 to $40.

Regular season prices will go in effect on Friday, December 16, as will the resorts' famed 6-for-1 Day in which guests receive six lift tickets for the price of one.  Children ages eight and under and seniors 70 and above can ski and snowboard free every day, all season long.
