Tony Ortiz: Lions Sign Jovan Haye

With Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and Lawrence Jackson set to miss Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions add some depth to their defensive line with the signing of defensive tackle Jovan Haye. Haye spent the last couple of years with the Tennessee Titans, where he started 16 games. Over his 8 year career, Haye – who’s also played with the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers – has 181 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks. He was cut by the Titans in training camp, just two years after signing a 4 year, $16 million dollar free agent deal in 2009.
