Compuware, Savvis Expand APM Partnership

DETROIT -- Compuware Corp. (Nasdaq: CPWR) announced that Savvis, a CenturyLink company and a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, has expanded its application performance management partnership with Compuware.

Savvis uses the Compuware Gomez platform to monitor the performance of its cloud and hosted infrastructures as well as to improve the performance and availability of the mission-critical applications of its hosted client base. With the ability to monitor user performance across the entire application delivery chain, Savvis and its clients now have complete visibility into application health and can proactively resolve performance issues.

With nearly 2,500 clients -- including more than 30 of the top 100 companies in the Fortune 500 -- some of the world's largest and most recognizable brands rely on Savvis to host and manage their Web-based client applications, many of which are accessed daily by millions of end-users. In order to ensure that these systems -- as well as their own cloud and hosting infrastructures -- are up and running 24/7 with uninterrupted service, Savvis partnered with Compuware for application performance.

"The Gomez platform enables our IT team to proactively detect performance issues before the client's business is impacted," said Brent Juelich, senior director of hosting engineering at Savvis. "Having this depth of insight into the quality of our service proves to our clients that we are meeting service-level agreements and exceeding their expectations for application delivery."

Savvis joined the Compuware Partner Network in 2009 through an agreement to resell the Gomez SaaS Web performance management solution and offer it as part of its hosting platform to its clients. Savvis has now extended this partnership to include the Gomez on-premises APM product suite. Now Savvis and its clients have a complete view of application performance across the entire application delivery chain -- from the First Mile to the Last Mile.

"Customers have very little patience for sluggish applications, which means that poor application performance can impact revenue. Peak application performance helps ensure customers have a positive experience, which often determines if they will do business with an enterprise again," said Kimberly King, vice president of channels and alliances at Compuware. "Our expanded partnership with Savvis demonstrates Compuware's continued commitment to meeting this demand by providing world-class APM solutions that deliver outstanding value to meet the business needs of our partners."

The Compuware Partner Network is an award-winning, global program for select VARS, consultants, service providers, system integrators and strategic technology alliances. This program enables Compuware customers to have access to the world's most innovative and comprehensive technology performance solutions from their preferred partner. CPN members benefit from specialized marketing, sales and support programs, industry leading technology and dedicated account management all designed to help each partner succeed.
