MCWT Offers Connect-Net Meeting: “Leadership, Success and You” is the title of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology’e next Connect-Net meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Epitec Group, 24800 Denso Drive, Suite 150 in Southfield. While leadership can be taught, it is more of an attitude than a set of learned skills. Great leaders have a way of going with the flow. They don’t panic and are strategic about how to handle change and uncertainty. Leadership is a rare quality, and those that can lead in more than one organization are rarer still. Guest speaker Sue Reidel of GE Healthcare and Process Excellence IT Leader, will share her experiences and provide tips during the session. Reidel has been a leader at three GE businesses: Power Systems, Industrial Systems and Healthcare. Sue has a bachelor’s degree in economics and math as well as a master’s degree in business administration. Her past roles include manager of the IM Deployment Center of Excellence, global programs manager, and CIO for global services. The event is free to MCWT members, $5 for students and $10 for nonmembers. Register at www.mcwt.org.
