Police – Hockey Fundraiser

DETROIT (AP) – Police officers and firefighters are expected to participate in a hockey game to raise funds for a southwest Detroit youth group.

Proceeds from Sunday afternoon’s game in Clark Park will be given to the Clark Park Youth Hockey Association to pay for uniforms, equipment and ice time.

This is the event’s fourth year.

Joining Detroit police and firefighters will be Wayne County sheriff’s deputies and Warren police officers. Former Detroit Red Wings player Darren McCarty is scheduled to make an appearance.

A donation of $5 per person is requested.
