Improvement in Michigan Economy Helps OpTech Achieve Record Growth

TROY -- The Michigan economy is rebounding, and the demand among Michigan employers for highly skilled workers is growing rapidly. This growth environment helped OpTech, a Troy-based IT and engineering staffing and services provider, achieve record growth in 2011.

The company says it achieved a 64 percent increase in revenue in 2011 over 2011, and doubled in size in terms of employees.

OpTech also added a number of new clients to its roster during the year, and expanded upon a number of existing relationships, including federal contract wins with the U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Navy, and a contract extension with the U.S. Coast Guard.

OpTech also recently moved into its new corporate headquarters in Troy, more than tripling its office space in order to accommodate growth and new employees.

"With the economy on the mend in Michigan, we are excited that businesses are ramping up investments in their workforces," said Ronia Kruse, president and CEO of OpTech. "There's a strong need for exceptional IT and engineering talent in Michigan, and OpTech expects another strong year in terms of revenue and employee growth in 2012."

OpTech plans to aggressively recruit and hire information technology and engineering professionals in the coming year. Open job listings can be found on OpTech's website, www.optechus.com.
