Pilot In Hospital After Crashing Into Golf Course

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of a plane crash at Wolcott Mill Metropark Golf Course,  near 27 Mile and Ray Center roads.

The accident, which sent the plane's pilot to the hospital, happened Saturday after the pilot took off from the nearby Ray Community Airport.

The pilot reportedly suffered head injuries in the crash.

Metroparks Police could not be reached for comment on the incident.
