MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) – A pastor at St. Peter Parish has been suspended after a 19-year-old and 14-year-old parishioner allegedly engaged in sex acts on church property.

The 19-year-old man was arrested Friday after the girl’s mother called the Macomb County Sheriff’s office.

The Archdiocese has released a statement apologizing to the girl. Also, according to the statement, Father Michael Cooney has been suspended for failing to provide a safe environment for young people on church property.

Quick!! get the abortion table ready!!! Is voyeurism against the law? If not, I guess the church has it’s little problem under control.

One of the worst pastors in the Detroit Archdiocese. Arrogant and nasty. Unfortunately, the archdiocese is so desperate for priests, Cooney will be back tormenting his parishioners and students shortly, I’m sure.

The only way to get this systemic abuse within the church stopped is to hold accountable those who enable and cover up sex crimes against kids.

Also, if anyone else has knowledge or has been harmed by Michael Lentini, please contact law enforcement. not the church officials..they are not the proper officials to be investigating sex crimes.
