D Nicklas Lidstrom played in his 1,550th game, moving past Alex Delvecchio into second place on the Wings' all-time list. He trails Gordie Howe (1,687). Lidstrom has appeared in more games than any player in NHL history who has played for only one club.
--RW Johan Franzen has a knack for scoring big goals. He snapped a 3-3 tie 52 seconds into the third period with his team-leading 22nd goal on Sunday. It was his league-leading 10th game-winning goal. Franzen had one of his better games, playing physical and skating hard to the net.
