Justin Verlander's Fastball Flakes Cereal Now On Sale

Detroit, MI – Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander is introducing his very own cereal in time for the start of the 2012 baseball season. The cereal is called "FASTBALL FLAKES" and is now on sale at Detroit area Meijer stores.

Justin's FASTBALL FLAKES is a frosted corn flake cereal packaged in a 14-ounce limited edition collector's box featuring a custom photo of the 2011 American League MVP and Cy Young Award winner. The cereal is available exclusively at Meijer stores in the Detroit, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids areas and online at www.plbsports.com. Justin's cereal is the latest athlete-endorsed food product from PLB Sports.

Justin will be donating 100 percent of his proceeds from the cereal to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit and to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. The facilities serve almost 800,000 veterans living in Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. Justin is a proud supporter of the men and women who serve our country. He started Verlander's Victory for Veterans Foundation as a way to benefit the Veterans in Michigan.

"Meijer is pleased to show its support of our veterans through this exciting partnership with Justin Verlander," Meijer Public Relations Director Frank Guglielmi said. "It's important for Meijer to support the communities where our customers and team members live and work, and we appreciate Justin allowing us to help him with this endeavor."
