Mom Pleads Guilty To Drunk Driving With Kids In Car

HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A Harrison Township woman has pleaded guilty to driving drunk with her two children in the vehicle.

Police said 33-year-old Wendy Trongo was driving a sports utility vehicle November 13, 2011 on South River Road near Hazel Street. Trongo drove the vehicle off the road and into a ditch.

No one was injured. Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the woman was still behind the wheel when they found the vehicle with the engine still running.

Police said the woman was given a breathalyzer and she blew a .33 blood alcohol level, which is beyond the legal limit of .08.
