–LW Jiri Hudler scored two goals in Saturday’s 4-3 loss to Colorado, giving him 20 for the season. That’s second on the team to Johan Franzen’s 23. It’s been a huge bounce-back year for Hudler, who had only 10 goals last season. He is playing with more determination, driving to the net and staying there.
–G Jimmy Howard led the NHL with 32 wins on Feb. 2, when he suffered a broken right index finger. He’s stuck on 32, after going 0-2-1 since his return. It’s not his fault, though. He’s made several big saves and given the team a chance to win. He’s been victimized by sloppy defense and his team’s lack of energy.
