“Now in goal for the Red Wings, Joey MacDonald …”

It’s not necessarily a bad thing. Joey MacDonald played exceedingly well in place of Jimmy Howard, when Howard was out with a broken finger.

Count me among those who thought MacDonald should have played until he lost again as a matter of principle (hey, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it).
