By Carol Cain

CBS 62’s Emmy winning journalist Carol Cain is moderating the Michigan Chronicle’s “Pancakes and Politics” breakfast forum Monday featuring Gov. Rick Snyder at the Detroit Athletic Club.

The sold-out event – which kicks off the Michigan Chronicle’s 7th season of Pancakes and Politics – will include questions from the audience and Cain.

But before we get there, we’re looking for some good questions! If yours is chosen, your name will be announced as it is posed to the governor. Submit it in comments below.

Don’t have a ticket to the event? Don’t fret. You can still catch “Pancakes” live on from 7:45 a.m.-9 a.m. Monday.

Or watch it on Sunday, March 18, during a special edition of “Michigan Matters” airing 11 a.m. Sunday on CBS 62.

The auto industry has evolved to make lighter, more fuel efficent vehicles requiring less raw materilal to produce.

Michigan still has a 160,000# gross vehicle maximum weight.
In the interest of creating jobs, would we not want to address this by reducing the maximum allowable weight thru a stepped program,to eventually match Canadas 125,000# weight?

Why is Oregon Arizona being shown here in Upstate NY? I’m in Buffalo and there are a lot more Michigan and Michigan State people in Upstate than Oregon or Arizona and John Beilen has roots in Western NY. Sort of nsartge out of all the teams, Arizona is the best but still. Weird move by CBS.

    Governor Snyder,
I understand that Gov. Granholm left quite a mess for you to fix after she left office, and everyone has to do their part. The Seniors who can afford it the least, always seem to take the hit first. What I don’t understand, and what I’m sure all the residents would love to hear, is why the legislators don’t take a hit as well, and return their raises to the coffers? I remember reading about these raises in the paper, and they never failed to put them in the budget every year before you took office. If everyone takes a hit, it should be everyone. Legislators should not be exempt, because of their standing. It’s not fair to the rest of us who can barely get by. Thank you for your time.

Why did you lie to get elected? You said you would not raise taxes to balance Michigan’s budget. Yet as someone born after 1952 and collecting a pension, you have certainly raised my taxes. I do not want a politicians answer either, admit you lied and I might respect you a little.
