Details Of Johnson's Contract Revealed
--Here are some details of wide receiver Calvin Johnson's deal, as reported by National Football Post: He will be paid $51.75 million over the first three years, at a reasonable cap number. His number for 2012 is $11.5 million, then $12.2 million for 2013 and 2014. It jumps to $19.7 million in 2015, the first year of the league's new television contract when presumably the cap will increase significantly.
--With the $9.5 million savings from Johnson's deal, the Lions had roughly $15.5 million of cap space as of Thursday. That includes a $1.47 million salary-cap rollover from last season, an additional $1.6 million accrued from the sanctions against the Cowboys and Redskins, $1.5 million borrowed off a future cap and $1.5 million in cap credits on three players with five or more accrued years of service.
