If there is a wide spread perception Michigan State didn’t play well Sunday, it’s not true.

That wasn’t a 15-seed against a 2-seed. It wasn’t a team from a lower rung conference. St. Louis is a ninth seed from a good league, the Atlantic 10, featuring one of basketball’s best tacticians as coach, Rick Majerus.

    Hey Pat,

    Nice article but I will never let you off the hook with your Michigan has closed the gap nonsense. They were one and done and while they did have a very good season they should not be mentioned in the same breath with MSU. Izzo didn’t even know what he had this year and it looks as though he has brought this group back to the big stage yet again. Closed the gap????? Pfffffft.
