TROY — Pay Anywhere, the mobile payment division of the payment processing firm North American Bancard, said Monday it had donated a tablet computer to every student at Cranbrook’s Brookside Lower School.

The company said the donation is in support of CranbrookSchool’s aim to inspire today’s youth with tomorrow’s technology.

Both Pay Anywhere and Cranbrook Schools have strong traditions of community building in the Metro Detroit area year after year. This year marks the 31st year of Cranbrook’s Kaleidoscope fundraiser, which is hosted by Cranbrook parents but made possible from the support of friends, family, and local businesses like Pay Anywhere.

“Pay Anywhere is proud to support Cranbrook’s dedication to academic achievement with a donation of tablets for every Brookside student,” said Pay Anywhere CEO Marc Gardner. We believe tablet use will enrich the educational opportunities of students by exposing them to today’s technology and providing access to information at their fingertips.”

Along with the donation of tablets to Brookside, Gardner and the Pay Anywhere team showed support at the Kaleidoscope fundraiser that took place on March 10 by providing the mobile payment solution in place of traditional countertop credit card terminals. By using Pay Anywhere, Cranbrook and the Kaleidoscope team were able to easily accept donations and help make the event a success.

“The use of Pay Anywhere in place of a traditional countertop terminal streamlined the process of accepting credit card donations. With Pay Anywhere’s support, Brookside was able to raise more money than we had anticipated at this year’s fundraiser,” said Elyse Foltyn, Cranbrook Kaleidoscope Co-Chair. “We are grateful for Pay Anywhere’s dedication and generosity to Brookside with its donation of tablets for every student.”
