ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ)  - A 6-year-old is taken to a local hospital after a dog bites her in the face and thigh.

Police say the incident happened at a home on West Aurburn Road near M-59 in Rochester Hills.

The homeowner was able to secure the pit bull breed in a room after the attack. Animal Control came and took away the dog.

The young girl is being treated for her injuries.
