Easter Travelers Expected To Pack Metro Airport

ROMULUS, Mich. (WWJ) - With Easter this Sunday, it's a busy holiday travel time at Detroit Metro Airport.

The busiest travel days will be Wednesday through next Monday, according to Metro Airport spokesman Mike Conway. He says the arrivals curb tends to get very busy.

"If you're coming out to the airport to pick somebody up on an arriving flight, you might want to consider: just bypass the curb altogether and park in short term and meet your party at the gate," Conway said.

If you're flying, Conway recommends arriving at the airport an hour and a half before your flight to give yourself time for passenger screening. He also wants to remind everyone that you can't leave a vehicle unattended at the curb; it'll be ticketed and towed.
