Money! Money! For Pizza-Pizza Fundraiser In Metro Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - President Barack Obama is coming to the 'Motor City' next week for a 1-million dollar pizza party fundraiser hosted by Denise Ilitch, the daughter of Little Caesar's founders Mike and Marian Ilitch.

And for $10,000, you can get dinner and candid photo with the President. A $40,000 ticket nets you a formal photo.

We asked metro Detroiters, like Pam Horowitz of Farmington Hills, if she would shell out that kind of money.

"There is no way that I would do that, I mean I like the president, I'm not against him. That's a huge amount of money, no, no even if I had a huge amount of money," said Horowitz.

This man says he wouldn't pay either.

"It would more be a 'showing off' thing, otherwise, I think it's a waste of money," he said.

Keith Combs of Farmington Hills says, "No way, it's too much for pizza and paper plates ... silver plates? That's at least better than paper plates."

And many say campaigns simply cost too much.
