DETROIT (CBS Detroit) If there's anything we've learned from the Detroit auto industry, it's that hybrids are hot.
Why not have one of your own? A pet hybrid, that is. Check out Topeka, a 6-month-old Chihuahua/Shepherd mix who came to the Michigan Humane Society as a hungry and neglected stray.
A chihuahua bred with a German Shepherd? Turns out it's a great mix. Topeka is a happy and healthy guy looking for a new forever family. He's still got a bit of growing to do, but shouldn't end up being more than 30 pounds, which staffers say "is good, because I really do enjoy snuggling up with you on the couch!"
