Royal Oak Infant Killed In Clare County Accident

CLARE COUNTY (WWJ) - A Royal Oak infant is killed in a tragic accident in Clare County.

WWJ's Rob Mason reports that the incident happened on Sunday morning when 13-month old Kyle John-Edward Counts was struck and killed in the driveway in a home in Greenwood Twp.

A 57-year old man from Harrison hit the infant with his 2002 Dodge Ram van. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed is not believed to be a factor but alcohol has not been ruled out and the accident remains under investigation by the Clare County Sheriff's office.
