OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) – A tip that came into Crime Stoppers has resulted in a drug bust in Oakland County.
The tip indicated that a group was selling drugs under the guise of medical marijuana patients and caregivers. In fact, they were delivering drugs to more than 30 different individuals.
Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard says three search warrants were executed on May 4th and drugs were confiscated.
“Nearly a pound of marijuana was seized …and about $26,000 in cash,” said Bouchard.
Sheriff Bouchard says he is finding many illegal drug operations that are working under the pretense of medical marijuana.
