Henry Ford Community College To Host 7th Annual Cisco Academy Olympics May 11
DEARBORN -- Henry Ford Community College will host the 7th Annual Cisco Academy Olympics Friday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the HFCC Michgian Technical Education Center campus.
This is an opportunity for secondary and post-secondary students at Cisco Academies throughout Southeast Michigan to enjoy a day of friendly competition.
After a continental breakfast, attendees can participate in team competitions in cable making, router configuration and troubleshooting, and a quiz bowl. There will also be presentations by Cisco Systems engineers and other networking professionals and possible internship and job opportunities.
After lunch, there will be door prizes and giveaways, and networking with other Academy students, instructors, and networking professionals.
This event is the highlight of the year for many students and instructors, as well as those who volunteer -- including the Cisco Systems engineers and other networking professionals. There are also many door prizes and give-aways at this event. In 2011, for example, Access Interactive donated two 27-inch refurbished iMacs.
