Linkage Design Appoints Michael Check as CEO: Linkage Design announced Tuesday that Michael Check has joined the company as CEO. His focus will be to grow Linkage's global digital content creation services business. With more than 20 years experience, Check brings to Linkage Design a deep understanding of the digital design process and a highly regarded industry standing. Prior positions include general manager of the Americas at AliasWavefront, general manager North America at ICEM Ltd. and vice president of sales at RTT USA. Linkage recently opened offices in Greensboro, N.C., and the United Kingdom. Linkage Design offers degreed industrial designers and digital sculptors who work in our customers' design studios, alongside customer employees or in one of three worldwide studios. Linkage has also launched digital design-based training programs out of its offices where Linkage's experienced trainers are teaching a new wave of digital sculptors. The targeted resource is someone who shows an aptitude for 3D digital modeling but doesn't have the formal training one might get from a four-year art school or may not have the financial resources to attend these colleges. Red Cedar Technology Welcomes New Director of Business Development: East Lansing-based Red Cedar Technology announced Tuesday that Joe Feord has joined the company as director of business development. In this role, he will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in the aerospace and defense industries in North America. Feord has 26 years of business experience in engineering, aviation, sales and management. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Catholic University of America and is a qualified Airline Transport Pilot. Prior to joining Red Cedar Technology, Feord was vice president at Munro & Associates, where he helped manufacturing companies optimize their products and processes for production efficiency. Joe's experience includes systems engineering, system-level design and validation, program management, structural analysis, virtual prototyping, and aviation. Feord developed high-tech software sales and support expertise while working for LMS Software, MSC Software, and Mechanical Dynamics, and his experience covers many industries including automotive, aerospace and defense.
