Voluntary Recall Of Canned Pet Food By Nestle Purina PetCare
DETROIT (WWJ ) - A recall Sunday by Nestle Purina PetCare.
The company says it is taking its Purina Veterinary Diets O-M Overweight Management canned cat food off the shelves. This move is being made in response to one consumer complaint received by the FDA.
Testing of the product showed a low level of vitamin B-1. Cats who ate the food may be at risk for developing a vitamin deficiency.
The product was sold only through veterinarians around the U.S.
Pet owners who purchased this food should stop feeding this product to their pet, and throw it away.
