Elderly Man Dies After Falling Into Fire Pit
DOVER TWP. (AP) - Police say a 77-year-old man has died after falling into a large backyard fire pit in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula.
WWTV/WWUP reports the man was trying to add wood to the fire Sunday night in Otsego County's Dover Township when he lost his balance and fell.
Police found the man after being called to the home near Gaylord. His name wasn't immediately released.
The death was under investigation on Monday.
