Michigan Matters: Belle Isle
Belle Isle is the largest island park in the United States. It's been a jewel of our region for centuries. But much is about to change under Gov. Rick Snyder's watch.
This week on a special Michigan Matters, Carol Cain talks with Sarah Earley, founder of the Belle Isle Women's Committee and leader of the Belle Isle Conservancy, about plans to renovate the park. Bruce Ross of Michigan's Department of Natural Resources explains Gov. Snyder's plans for the park. Cain also discusses the upcoming auto race with Bud Denker, Chairman of the Chevrolet Grand Prix.
