Will Sale Of K2 Be Banned In Shelby Township?

SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Add Shelby Township to the list of Metro Detroit communities that want to ban the sale of K2, Spice and other synthetic drugs.

A demonstration was held on Van Dyke in front of a Citgo Gas Station that just stopped selling the synthetic marijuana earlier this week.

WWJ asked Citgo Manager David Dabish, why the gas stopped selling the synthetic drug?

"The community and the impact that it has on people ... and finally we are aware of the dangers causing the kids getting a hold of it, and misusing it," said Dabish.

Not good enough, for Bill Miskokomon whose son is in rehab now.

"The damage is done, the train left the station when he threw me out of his store and told me he didn't want to hear me, at all, when I pleaded with him and told him the dangers and the troubles I am going through with my son," said Miskokomon.

A measure is expected to be voted on Tuesday night to ban the sale of synthetic drugs in Shelby Township.
