Dearborn Residents Can Now Take The Plunge

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Residents in Dearborn can take a refreshing dip in one of the community pools that re-open for summer, as of Saturday. Mark Lane says last year the group Save Our Pools forced city leaders to open four of six community pools - allowing for plenty of citizens to get cooled off and have some fun-in-the-sun.

"Depends on the weather, last year they were up about 20 percent in usage," said Lane.

Lane says Save Our Pools is still looking for additional funds in the city coffers to re-open two of the six community pools that remain moth-balled.
