Lions Secondary Doesn't Want To Be The Weak Link

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Aaron Berry says he doesn't want to let the Detroit Lions down for giving him a chance to start at cornerback.
Detroit lost only cornerback Eric Wright this offseason and didn't make a major move to replace him.
Wright left to sign with Tampa Bay, leaving Berry as a first-string candidate. The former Pittsburgh Panthers standout says the sky is the limit for him if he can stay healthy for a change.
At a team minicamp Tuesday, Berry said the secondary has to improve as a group for Detroit to take the next step.
The Lions earned a playoff spot last year for the first time since the 1999 season. Poor play against the pass hurt Detroit's chances of winning a playoff game for the second time since 1957.
