Local Coyote Pups To Appear On Letterman

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - A pair of local baby coyotes will have a starring role on the "Late Show with David Letterman" Tuesday evening, along with their handler.

The 6-week old puppies came to the Creature Conservancy in Ann Arbor, after they were born at a wildlife park in Ohio.

Curator Steve Marsh often works with Jack Hanna of the Columbus zoo and he was asked to bring the pups along for a Letterman visit.

"My time on the camera will be about 20 seconds walking 'em on and about 20 seconds walking 'em off," Marsh told WWJ Newsradio 950's Marie Osborne. "Unless there's something crazy that happens, like they go running off into the audience or something like that. Then you might see a lot more of me."

Marsh said the pups are extremely smart and playful.

Tuesday they were enjoying the day at a posh Manhattan hotel.
