Publicist: Rodney King Dead At Age 47

LOS ANGELES (WWJ) - Rodney King, the man captured on video being beaten by cops, has died at age 47.

King's publicist has confirmed that King, whose beating sparked the infamous Los Angeles roits in 1992, has died in California.

CBS reports that  King's fiancée found him dead at the bottom of a pool.

Law enforcement sources tell then entertainment site TMZ they responded to a call at 5:25 AM PT.  They were told they physically removed King from the pool and attempted CPR.

Sources say he was pronounced dead at 6:11 AM.

Law enforcement sources say Rialto PD will open a drowning investigation.
