WASHINGTON, D.C.(CBS Detroit) – It’ll be an all-out Michigan celebration Wednesday when UAW leaders and the president of Macomb Community College meet with President Barack Obama at the White House to celebrate Michigan’s success.
What’s the celebration about? The White House said in a statement, it’s about “historic fuel efficiency standards that will nearly double the fuel efficiency of cars and light duty trucks by 2025, save consumers $1.7 trillion at the pump, and encourage innovation and investment in technologies that increase our economic competitiveness and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”
And anyone can watch the event live at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday HERE.
