The knee-jerk reaction: Release Aaron Berry. It’ll send a message.

That’s the feeling today after Berry accounted for the Lions’ sixth arrest this offseason over drug- or alcohol-related incidents.

And what makes this incident worse is that the cornerback’s arrest came after team officials made it clear they expected players to clean up their acts and not tarnish the image of the team anymore.
