Girl Drowns In Livonia Hotel Pool

LIVONIA (WWJ/AP) - Livonia police say a 7-year-old girl drowned in a pool at a Livonia hotel over the weekend.

The girl was attending a birthday party Saturday at the Embassy Suites hotel on Victor Parkway, when she was found unconscious in the pool around 7 p.m.

Someone at the hotel attempted to revive the girl using CPR before police and fire arrived and continued efforts to revive her.

The girl was transported to St. Mary Mercy Hospital, where she died about an hour later.

Investigators ruled the death accidental
