BELLEVILLE (WWJ) – A Van Buren School District teacher is facing felony charges after she was caught with a 15-year-old boy.
The Wayne County Prosecutor has charged Andrea Brennan, 37, with distributing sexually explicit material to a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor and using a computer to commit a crime after officers found her and the teen in her car at a softball field at 1:30 a.m.
The area, near Beck Road and Ayres, is closed to the public after hours.
Investigators said the teen was never a student of Brennan.
Brennan, an Ypsilanti resident, is expected to turn herself in Tuesday. She is scheduled to be arraigned in 34th District Court in Romulus at 9 a.m.
It was not clear as of Monday afternoon whether Brennan was still employed as a teacher at North Middle School. A call by WWJ to the school district was not immediately returned.
