Police: Four Cars Smashed After Trailblazer Runs Red Light

WATERFORD (WWJ) - A Trailblazer runs a red light at an intersection and the results include  several injuries and four smashed cars according to Waterford Police.

According to reports a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer driven by a 59-year-old man from Rochester Hills ran a red light at W. Huron and Voorheis, hitting one car near the intersection, then moving on to strike two more cars, one of which, hit another car.

The Trailblazer struck a 2010 Ford Fusion being driven by a 53-year-old woman from Davisburg who was attempting to turn westbound onto West Huron from Voorheis. After striking the Fusion, the Trailblazer continued eastbound on West Huron striking a 1996 Dodge pickup and a 2010 Dodge Journey.

The pickup was being driven by a 39-year-old man from West Bloomfield and the Journey was driven by a 36-year-old woman from Waterford.

The impact of the Trailblazer hitting the Journey caused the Journey to strike a 2008 Ford Fusion being driven by a 21-year-old man from Waterford.

The driver of the Trailblazer was taken to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition and the driver of the Journey and a four-year-old in the car with her are listed in serious condition.
