Former NBA All-Star Drowns Saving Wife In Aruba

DETROIT (AP) -Former NBA All-Star Dan Roundfield, who played at Central Michigan University and with the Detroit Pistons, has drowned off the Caribbean island of Aruba.

Roundfield and his wife were swimming and got caught in rough water. Roundfield managed to get his wife to safety but was then swept away by the current.

A Detroit native, Roundfield had a 12-year NBA career. He was to be enshrined in the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame next Thursday. Dan Roundfield was 59.
