L. Brooks Patterson Enters Rehab

PONTIAC (WWJ) - Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is being moved to a rehabilitation unit at Pontiac's McLaren Oakland Hospital as he continues to recover from a car crash.

Patterson suffered injuries to his wrist, hip and leg in the crash.  He's undergone two surgeries to repair broken bones but has had to comment since the accident on August 10 in Auburn Hills.

Police said neither Patterson nor his driver were wearing seat belts and their car was nine miles over the limit at the time of impact.

The other driver, Anthony Prainito, 31, of Royal Oak, is facing three misdemeanor counts for the crash.  He's pleaded not guilty and could face jail time if convicted.
