Toussaint And Clark Won't Play Saturday Against Alabama

97.1 The Ticket's Doug Karsch broke the story that Michigan RB Fitzgerald Toussaint and LB Frank Clark are suspended and won't play against Alabama.

Michigan Head Coach Brady Hoke said Friday that neither player traveled with the team to Dallas. "The decision was not easy, but I feel it is in the best interest of this program," Hoke said.

Toussaint, who ran for over 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns last season as a sophomore., pleaded guilty on Tuesday to drunken driving.

Clark was charged with second degree home invasion, which is a felony and was suspended indefinitely. Clark, 19, appeared in 12 games for the Wolverines last season.

"We have choices every day, and you have to be accountable to this program, your teammates, your family and the University of Michigan," said Hoke. "These are our sons. These are real lives, and I think too often many people forget that. It's not always just about football."
