City Of Allen Park May Soon Face Take Over

ALLEN PARK (WWJ) – Allen Park could soon be taken over by an emergency manager. Governor Snyder informed the city Friday that a financial emergency exists.

The announcement follows a recommendation from a state-appointed review team– which cited a several million dollar deficit– due in part to a failed movie studio project– as the fiscal emergency.

The city now has 10 days to request a hearing with the Governor.
