BUENA VISTA TWP. (WWJ) – Curiosity seems to have gotten the best of one little boy who spent some time trapped inside a drop box Thursday night.
Buena Vista firefighters helped rescue the boy who got stuck inside a UPS drop box about 8:30 p.m. at the Flying-J gas station near Saginaw.
WWJ spoke with Firefighter Robert Schultz who said in his 25-years in the department he’s never seen anything like this: “I understand the door of the drop box was left open and the boy crawled in and shut the door,” he said.
It only took firefighters a few cranks of the crowbar to free the boy, who Schultz said was “pretty quiet” while they worked to free him.
The boy wasn’t seriously hurt.
