Bentley Leaves Game With Possible Concussion

The Lions started the game with four new starters in the secondary and then lost one of those to a concussion in the third quarter. Rookie cornerback Bill Bentley was knocked out of the game in the third quarter. He was evaluated for a concussion and was kept out of the game. The Lions, already without starting safety Louis Delmas (knee) and cornerback Chris Houston (ankle), started Bentley and Jacob Lacey at cornerback, with Erik Coleman and John Wendling at safety. Veteran Drayton Florence played nickel. When Bentley went out, they used rookie Jonte Green, who was promptly beat on a 23-yard touchdown. It is unknown if either Delmas or Houston will play next week.
