IDV Solutions Software Gets Homeland Security Award: Lansing-based IDV Solutions said is Visual Command Center software for risk awareness and response had been awarded Safety Act Designation from the United States Department of Homeland Security. IDV said it was the first product in its class to receive designation as a "Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT)." The award comes after a rigorous, six-month vetting process by DHS's Science and Technology Directorate, in which Visual Fusion was reviewed by technical and other teams composed of experts in federal, state, and local public safety agencies, national laboratories, and academia to establish "proven effectiveness" that it performs as designed. In addition, IDV Solutions was required to demonstrate "domain expertise" and favorable customer feedback from United States Government deployments. Visual Fusion is currently deployed in the DHS Virtual City project on the U.S.-Canada border. Visual Fusion is also deployed at the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, and in agencies such as the Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, and others.
