Police: Woman Attacks Ex-Lover With Tire Iron On I-75

TROY (WWJ) - Police in Troy say a woman stopped her van in heavy traffic on I-75 and attacked the truck of her ex-lover with a tire iron.

Police say they were called to the scene at I-75 near Adams just before 4 p.m. last Friday.

Prior to officers arriving, the woman got back into her van and fled the scene, but the man and his female passenger spoke to police.

According to investigators, the man and the woman once had a brief relationship but were no longer seeing each other. When the woman saw the man with another female in his vehicle, she reportedly got out of her van, which she stopped in heavy traffic on I-75, and attacked the truck with a tire iron, police said.

While the man's truck was visibly damaged, no one was injured in the attack.
