ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions have launched a mobile app, available free for smartphones.

The app is presented by Flagstar Bank, who has partnered with the Detroit Lions to provide fans with an easier way to keep up with the team while they’re on the go.

Said Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand: “We’re also committed to expanding this platform to enhance our game day experience at Ford Field and engaging our fans like never before.”

The Lions’ mobile app features exclusive video on-demand clips with player and coach interviews, an aggregated Twitter feed with real-time updates from fans and the team, a fantasy football tracker, one-click social-media sharing of all photos, news, podcasts, game schedules, and more. It is also the perfect game day companion for Lions fans who want live team stats and news, as well as NFL scores and standings at their fingertips.

“We think the new Detroit Lions mobile app is a must-have for every Lions fan,” said Michael Tierney, president of the Michigan market for Flagstar. “The app is jam-packed with information fans will love, and we’re thrilled that we can help present this to the NFL’s most passionate fans.”

Fans can download the official Detroit Lions Mobile app at www.detroitlions.com/mobile or search for the “Detroit Lions Mobile” app on the Apple App Store, Android Google Play or BlackBerry App World.

The app was developed in partnership with the Pittsburgh-based sports team app developer Yinzcam Inc., who has now developed mobile apps for 19 NFL teams.
