MSU Prof Hospitalized After Stripping Naked In Class, Screaming

EAST LANSING (CBS Detroit) Reportedly screaming "God … how can no one do anything right?" a Michigan State University math professor stripped naked in front of his class Monday.

Michigan State University police reported the Ingham County 911 Central Dispatch Center received a call at 1:07 p.m. Monday about a naked man in the Engineering Building shouting in the hallway.

"MSU police responded and took the man, a university professor, into protective custody and transported him to a local hospital," a police spokeswoman said.

No one was injured, and the professor is not being charged with a crime, police said.

MSU's Counseling Center has reached out to students who may have witnessed the incident to offer any support they need.

Several students took to Twitter to report the incident, with some posting photos of the naked professor -- wearing only calf-high white socks, sitting on the hallway floor in handcuffs. Students reported he was ranting and swearing, some said they were scared.

Student Karson Arnold Tweeted, "I think my professor is literally losing his mind right in front of class mid lecture."

Arnold later Tweeted their professor was being replaced Wednesday for "medical reasons." See a photo of the arrest on Twitter HERE, but note it involves nudity.
