I like beer. And I especially like craft beers and microbrews so I’m going to be heading out to the Michigan Brewers Oktoberfest this Sunday, October 7th at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion. Now, you may be thinking, “wait a minute, the Tigers are playing Game 2 against Oakland, I can’t be hangin’ out at no beer festival!” Fear not my young imbibers, Canterbury Village has promised us there will be TVs on hand to watch the game.
While I’m not against a Miller or a Budweiser I do prefer something with a little more flavor. The MBO will feature over 60 different craft beers and ciders as well as special edition beers from breweries like Bell’s, Kuhnhenn, Dragonmead, North Peak and Right Brain and if you’re really into not just drinking but making beer, a lot of the brewers will be on site to answer questions and give demonstrations.
Ah, Autumn, football, playoff baseball and beer, is this a great country or what!…Tickets are on sale right now for just $15 at your nearest Kroger and $20 online at http://www.971theticket.com
We’ll see you out there!
